Adding, updating and deleting products

Products are the physical goods, digital files, and services that you sell. You can sell products that you manufacture yourself, resell products of other suppliers, or use dropshipping services.

You add a product by entering product details and uploading product images. If your product has options, like size or color, then you can add a variation for each combination of options. You can also group your products into categories to make it easier for customers to find them in your store.

Adding a new product

Adding a new product to your store is simple and only takes a few minutes.

Tip: To delete demo products that appear when you create a new account tick all products, then click Bulk Update that appears above the product list, then choose to Delete Selected.

To add a product to your store via desktop

1. From your store admin, go to Catalog > Products.

2. Click +Add New Product:

3. Enter the name, description, and other product details. You can also upload images and video files.

 

4. Click Save.

5. Click Preview Product to see how this product will look in your online store.

To add a product to your store via the iOS app

1. From the My e-Shop app, go to Products.

2. Tap + in the right upper corner to add a product.

3. Add images, enter the name, and price. Then tap Add product.

4.Enter other product details.

To add a product to your store via the Android app

1. From the My e-Shop app, go to Products.

2. Tap + in the right bottom corner to add a product.

3. Enter the name and price. Then tap Add product.

4. Add images and enter other product details.

That’s it. You have successfully added a product to your store.

Tip: You can upload products in bulk using a CSV-formatted file.

Duplicating products

When you add several products with many similarities, duplication can help speed up the entry process and save you time. By copying a product, you can modify specific changes instead of repeatedly filling out the product information.

If you want to add options to a product, such as color or size, then add a variation to the existing product instead of duplicating the product.

When you successfully duplicate a product, you will have a copy of the original product. The only thing that will be different is the SKU, it is generated automatically since it must be unique.

To duplicate a product:

  1. From your store admin, go to Catalog > Products.
  2. Open the product you want to duplicate.
  3. Click Duplicate Product:

  1. Modify product details.
  2. Click Save.

Updating product details

After you’ve created products, you can update them to change prices, images, descriptions or any other product details.
To edit a product:

1. From your store admin, go to Catalog > Products.

2. Click on the product you wish to change.

3. Update product details.

4. Save changes.

Saved changes take effect immediately in your online store and sync across all your sales channels.


Updating products in bulk

You can update your product catalog in bulk using export and import. You can export the products you want to change, edit them in a spreadsheet and then re-upload them to your store using the import feature.

Once you’ve prepared your CSV file, you can import it into your store:

  1. From your store admin, go to Catalog > Products.
  2. Click Import Products.
  3. Click Choose file and select the CSV file from your computer.
  4. Select the delimiter used in your file (comma, semicolon, or tabulation).
  5. Select the character encoding used in your file.
  6. Arrange columns (drag and drop) to mimic your file: {image}
  7. Uncheck the columns that are not used in the file.
  8. Use the Skip column option to exclude up to three columns.
  9. Check the option Delete all products and categories before import if you want to clear the catalog before import.

Note: This will delete all the products that are in your store. They will be replaced with the products from the CSV file you import.When your CSV file is uploaded, you’ll see a notification that your file has been imported.


Deleting products from the catalog

You can delete a single product, or delete multiple products at once using a bulk action. When you delete a product, it’s permanently removed from the store. Deleted products can’t be restored.

If you run out of stock or no longer want to display a product for any reason, but don’t want to permanently delete it from your store, then you can Disable the product availability instead.

If you want to remove a product from a category, you can unassign the product from this category. If you want to remove products from the Featured Products section only, you should remove these products from the default Store Front Page category.

To permanently delete a product from your catalog:

    1. From your store admin, go to Catalog > Products.
    2. Choose a product you want to delete.
    3. Click Edit Product, then select Delete Product:
    4. Confirm you want to delete this product.

To delete several products at once (for example, sample products that are added to the store to show you examples of product setup):

    1. From your store admin, go to Catalog > Products.
    2. Check multiple products in the list.
    3. Click Mass Update that appears above the product list.
    4. Choose Delete Selected:

Making products unavailable

You can hide products from the storefront permanently or temporarily by making them unavailable. This is a good option to use if your product is seasonal or only in stock for a limited time and you don’t wish to delete it. Once the product is available again, you can simply reactivate it to display on the storefront.
